Ingredients
Crust:
2cupsflour
1/2cupbrown sugar, firmly packed
2sticksunsalted butter
Cream Cheese Filling:
8ouncescream cheese, softened
1/2cupsugar
2largeeggs
1teaspoonvanilla
Fruit Layer:
3Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped fine
1teaspoonground cinnamon
2tablespoonssugar
Streusel Topping:
1cupbrown sugar, firmly packed
1/2cupflour
1/2cupquick cooking oats
1stickunsalted butter, softened
1/2cupcaramel topping
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a food processor, combine the crust ingredients and pulse until dough is formed. Press the dough firmly into the bottom of a baking pan lined with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly browned.
Blend the cream cheese and the sugar together in a medium bowl. Add the eggs one at a time and then the vanilla. Beat until smooth. Pour over the warm crust.
In a medium bowl, stir together the ingredients for the fruit layer. Spoon evenly over the cream cheese filling.
In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the Streusel Topping and sprinkle evenly over the fruit layer. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from the oven and allow the dessert bars to cool slightly before cutting.
Drizzle caramel topping over the dessert bars. Recipe makes 12 servings.
