Ingredients
18large apples, peeled and cored
1/2cuplight brown sugar
1/3cupwhite sugar
1cupwater
2teaspoonscinnamon
Instructions
Begin by peeling and coring your apples. Cut apples into 1 inch pieces. Place them in a large dutch oven with 1/2 cup cold water. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
Remove the lid and stir the apples. They will be soft and starting to dissolve. Add the brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and another 1/2 cup of cold water. Stir, cover, and cook for another 15 minutes until apples have dissolved and are thick and delicious.

Notes
It is important to start with sweet, ripe apples. Make sure to pick a variety that will cook down and dissolve easily. Golden Delicious, Fuji and McIntosh apples are the best for making applesauce because they are soft and super flavorful.
