Ingredients
1/2cupunsalted butter, melted
1cupall-purpose flour
2cupsgranulated sugar, divided
1tablespoonbaking powder
1cupmilk
4cupspeaches, peeled, if desired (about 5 large peaches)
1smalllemon, juiced
1/2teaspoonground cinnamon
Instructions
Melt the butter and pour it in a 13x9 baking dish.
In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, one cup of sugar, and milk. Stir until combined. Pour batter over the butter in the baking dish and do not stir.
In a medium skillet or saucepan, bring the peaches, one cup of sugar and lemon juice to a boil over high heat while stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and pour the peaches over the batter. Do not stir. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake the cobbler at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, it should be golden brown.
