Balsamic Glazed Salmon Recipe

What’s needed?

  • 4 6-ounce pieces of Atlantic Salmon (350 calories per piece)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup white wine (or chicken stock)
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon Mustard
  • dried oregano (or Italian Seasoning)

How to make Balsamic Glazed Salmon?

  • Cover a baking sheet with foil. Spray the foil with cooking spray. Place the salmon fillets on the baking sheet skin side down. Sprinkle each piece of fish with salt and pepper.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a small saucepan or skillet and heat over medium heat. Add garlic, balsamic vinegar, white wine, and mustard. Stir until ingredients are combined well and heated through.
  • Brush each fillet with glaze. Add a pinch of dried oregano or Italian Seasoning.
  • Bake in a 375 degree oven for 12 to 14 minutes, until fish is flaky and pink. The fish will separate easily from the skin when removed from the baking sheet. Serve the salmon with simple sides, such as white rice and buttered green beans. Use the rest of the glaze to top the fish or pour it over the rice for added flavor. You can also add some chopped green onions, if you wish.
