We finally made it to Spring, so this month you can look for comforting soups, healthy salads, easy chicken dinners and spring desserts to make for the April Cooking Challenge!

April Cooking Challenge

In April, we will celebrate Easter, welcome warmer weather and spend more time outside being active and enjoying the sunshine. That means we will also be looking for easy-to-make recipes that come together quickly and taste amazing. There’s so much to look forward to in April!

Who won last month’s Cooking Challenge?

Thanks to everyone who visited raveaboutfood.com, made new recipes and left reviews last month. It was a busy month of making soups, salads, and comfort foods to keep us warm until spring officially arrived.

And during the last week of March we celebrated spring with a week of special dessert recipes from a group of food blogging friends. Lemon Lush and Lemon Raspberry Pound Cake are two of the bright recipes I shared during #springsweetsweek. Both are bright and delicious, which makes them perfect for Easter dessert this year!

Our winner of the March Cooking Challenge is Kelly S. for her review of Stuffed Peppers. This comforting dish remains one of the most viewed recipes at raveaboutfood.com. Comfort food at its best!

Kelly S. made Stuffed Peppers and left this review with a 5-star rating:

“This is EXACTLY the way my mother made hers when I was a child (I’m 68 now). It’s wonderful to see tasty old fashioned cooking!”

Thanks to Kelly S. for her kind review. I hope you continue to visit often and find more delicious recipes to make in April.

“One of our favorites. I like your suggestion to use tenders, it really saves time!”

Jolene M. from New Hampshire liked Lemon Lush and left this comment:

“Look at those lovely layers! Lemon desserts are one of my favorite ways to cope with it still snowing in March in New England.”
