Easy Key Lime Pie Bars Recipe
Key Ingredients:
- graham cracker crumbs
- unsalted butter, melted
- granulated sugar
- cream cheese, softened
- sweetened condensed milk
- egg yolks
- key lime juice and zest
- whipped cream for topping

How to make Key Lime Pie Bars
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Allow the ends of the paper to extend above the edges of the pan for easy removal of the bars after baking.
- Mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar in a medium mixing bowl until thoroughly combined. Using the bottom of a measuring cup, firmly press crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake the crust for 12 minutes. Remove crust from the oven and allow to cool while making the filling.
- In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the sweetened condensed milk, lime juice and zest and beat until combined. Pour the filling evenly over the slightly cooled crust.
- Increase oven temperature to 350 degrees F. Bake for 16-18 minutes, until the filling is set and the edges are beginning to brown.
- Remove the bars from the oven and allow to cool completely at room temperature. Place them in the refrigerator for at least two hours to fully set the bars before cutting. Cut into 16 bars and garnish with whipped cream and lime slices. Recipe makes 16 bars.

How to store Key Lime Pie Bars
It is not likely that there will be any of these tart bars leftover. If there are, you can keep the remaining pie bars in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days. They can also be frozen and then thawed overnight in the refrigerator when ready to serve.

- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup key lime juice
- 1 tablespoon key lime zest

Notes
- Using the edges of the parchment paper, carefully remove the pie bars from the pan and place them on a cutting board.
- Cut the bars when they are cold using a sharp knife.
- Wipe the knife in between cuts with a damp paper towel to remove excess filling.
- Bars should be 2×2-inch squares, but can be cut into larger pieces, if desired.
