Ingredients for Sheet Pan Shrimp Boil

Sheet Pan Shrimp Boil Recipe

Ingredients:

LARGE SHRIMP– Use large shrimp for this recipe, so they stand up nicely to the other bite-size elements on the sheet pan. Small shrimp will cook too quickly and become overdone. If they are frozen, thaw them before baking. Be sure to remove the shells and tails.

SMOKED SAUSAGE– There are several good brands of sausage to choose from, but we like Polish Smoked Sausage or Kielbasa. It is flavorful and tastes even better when roasted. It also lends a nice saltiness to the sheet pan. Cut the sausage into 2-inch pieces.

SWEET CORN– You will need 4 ears of corn for this recipe. Cut and break them in half and pre-cook them for a few minutes so the corn is tender and juicy.

RED & GOLD POTATOES– Using small red and gold potatoes gives this recipe color and flavor. The butter and herbs really make the potatoes delicious. If you are using larger potatoes, cut them into 2-inch chunks.

SEASONING– Season the shrimp with Old Bay before adding them to the sheet pan. The butter and parsley are poured over the ingredients before baking. Lemon juice is added at the end for some acid and a bright lemony flavor before serving.

Tips for a quicker prep and an easy clean up:

  • Cover the sheet pan with aluminum foil before adding ingredients to it. Once the meal has been cooked and served, simply remove the foil and discard for easy cleanup.
  • Only one medium bowl is used when cleaning and seasoning the shrimp. Discard the shells and tails into a small plastic bag that can be thrown away. Or use the shells to make seafood stock that can be used in soup or stew.
  • Purchase shrimp that have already had the shells removed and have been deveined. Sometimes they are a bit more expensive, but this will also save you time in preparation for making this recipe.
